Crédito, especulação e acumulação nos negócios mercantis: Rio de Janeiro: 1842-1857

Abstract

In the decade of 1850, the employed capital in the traffic became invested in the economy cafeeira, in expansion, and in the creation of bottoms for the new emission banks. In this article, the impact of the creation of those new banks should be discussed in the mercantile transactions, once the credit businesses, accomplished by the merchants, they were sustained by the handling of bills of exchange and of credit, last for the mercantile agents.
